We had our first walk of the year in Schwamendingen! We were a big group and performed the printing technique of cyanotipia while walking along the river Glatt.
Here, I shared our process:

1- Mix the chemicals that were part of the kit
2- Paint the paper cards with the mixture
This process has to be done protected from direct lights, so we did it under a bridge (3)
3- Walk and respectful recollection
4- The clouds moved (before it was cloudy), so we took the chance to do our printing with the sunlight. Preparation of the cards.
5- Waiting
6- Recollection of water from the river
7- The last part of this photosensitive technique has to be done by throwing water to the papers. We use the water of the Glatt.
8- Expectations and revelations

¡Tuvimos nuestra primera caminata del año en Schwamendingen! Fuimos un grupo numeroso. Caminamos junto al río Glatt e hicimos un registro utilizando la técnica de cianotipia.
Este fue el proceso:

1- Preparación de la mezcla de químicos parte del kit
2- Pintamos tarjetas de papel con la mezcla
Este proceso tiene que hacerse estando protegidos de la luz directa, por lo que lo hicimos abajo de un puente (3-)
3- Caminata y recolección respetuosa
4- Aprovechando que el cielo se despejó un ratito, nos preparamos para hacer la impresión (el papel pintado es ahora fotosensible). Preparamos las tarjetas.
5- Espera
6- Juntamos agua del río
7- La última parte de esta técnica se hace usando agua (en nuestro caso, agua del río Glatt)

Despite the heat, we walked through Schwamendingen. Seeking shade, we arrived at green and unfamiliar places. We talked about the symbolic presence of women in the city, about Hellen Keller Street, and about monuments. This conversation made us pay more attention to the urban decorations we encountered along the way. We also talked about the Frauenstreik and the situation of women in Switzerland. We visited the Ueberlandpark (which we passed two years ago when it was still under construction), where there is no shade to walk under.
A hot but very chatty walk!

A pesar del calor, caminamos por Schwamendingen. Buscando la sombra llegamos a lugares desconocidos y verdes. Conversamos sobre la presencia simbólica de las mujeres en la ciudad, sobre la calle Hellen Keller, y sobre monumentos. Esta conversación nos hizo prestar más atención a decoraciones urbanas que encontramos en nuestro camino. También charlamos sobre el Frauenstreik y sobre la situación de las mujeres en Suiza. Conocimos el Ueberlandpark (por donde hace dos años pasamos cuando estaba en proceso de construcción) donde todavía no hay sombra para caminar.
¡Un paseo caluroso pero muy conversado!

On our last walk, we explored and reflected on the textures and materialities of the neighborhood. Using the frottage technique, we took samples and had conversations sparked by our interaction with the materials, textures, and shapes we encountered along the way.

En nuestro último paseo estuvimos explorando y reflexionando sobre las texturas y las materialidades del barrio. A través de la técnica del frottage tomamos muestras y conversamos sobre temas que se despertaron a partir de la relación con los materiales, las texturas y las formas que encontramos durante nuestro paseo.
