PARKING DAY 2025 – A walk in a parking lot

In September 2025, I led a walk in a parking lot between the performances of the Mobiles Maxim group from MAXIM Theater. I liked the idea of doing it even before knowing what exactly I was going to do. It turned out well.
We explored this limited space, marked its edges and boundaries, and crossed them with our gaze and our hearing, perceiving the neighborhood and the city from there.
We walked slowly and quickly, alone and in pairs. We kept silent, we made sounds, we talked, and we ended the walk in a circle where we shared our impressions. One of them: we turned that space, which normally feels so foreign to us, into a place to be, a place for ourselves within the public space.

En septiembre de 2025 hice un paseo en una plaza de estacionamiento entre las performances del grupo Mobiles Maxim del MAXIM Theater. Me gustó la idea de hacerlo antes incluso de saber qué iba a hacer. Salió bien. Exploramos este espacio reducido, marcamos sus límites y fronteras, las traspasamos con la mirada y con el oído, percibiendo desde allí el barrio y la ciudad. Caminamos lento y rápido, de a uno y en pares. Hicimos silencio, hicimos sonidos, conversamos y terminamos el paseo en una ronda en la que compartimos nuestras impresiones. Una de ellas: hicimos de ese espacio que normalmente nos es tan ajeno, un lugar para estar, un lugar para nosotros dentro del espacio público. ¡Gracias a los increíbles participantes del grupo Mobiles Maxim por participar!
